• So... What does a Fallen Angel do, exactly? I ask myself.
All Knight does is sleep, get up, grab a blood bag, read a few books that he has probably read over a million times, sits down, watches the television, looking like he's paying barely any attention to it at all, then he goes to bed again.
But tonight was different. He seemed jittery about something. Maybe excited. I wasnt sure, actually.
I leaned against a wall and felt my right wing twitch in erritation and curiousity. "What the h*** are you so worked up about?" I hiss.
He started looking out the windows numerous times and checking his watch.
I glared at him and pointed an electrical clock near the desk. "Its midnight for the fourth time! How many times are you going to look at the d*** thing!?" I boom.
He checked his watch again and smiled. "Their late."
I blinked at him confused. "Who's late? Who did you envite, Knight?"
It took me a second but then I smirked. "Hey that rhyms. Knight, envight, kite, smight, bite... Uh... Thats all I got... Oh! I know!" I grinned. "Fight." I say proud of myself.
Knight suddenly sniffed the air. "What is that smell!?" He asks for the fiftenth time today.
Every day its the same thing. He snifs the air and asks the same d*** question. 'Whats that smell?' He asks.
Well how the h*** am I supposed to know you moron!? I boom.
Geez. There I go again. Fight with him in my head. He never hears me, he never responds, he never looks at me, he never looks in my direction, he'll never be able to any of those things ever again... Maybe I should have asked that angel, if she was an angel, to let me leave.
I sighed and pinched my temple. "For gods sake, Knight." I grumble.
    He turned around, facing me.
I took in a deep breath, thinking he might have heard me.
He started walking towards me, his eyes on the floor.
I stood up straight and smiled. "Can you finally hear me?"
    He didnt answer.
I reached out to touch him.
He walked right through me. Not even reacting at all.
I sighed. "Oh yeah... That little trick..." I grumble.
"What am I going to do now that you've gone, Thomas? Maybe I shouldnt have killed you." He says talking to himself.
"Your just figuring that out!?" I boom spinning around and pointing at the cold hearted son of-.
"I should have told the Council that I had taken care of you, when I really did not. I should have lied to keep you with me." He says hitting his head against the wall.
I blinked at him, confused alittle. "Huh...?"
This is the first time he's talked about me so randomly before.
Sometimes he would randomly sigh and say my name when he got really bored and was thinking a lot... But... He never really talked to himself at all.
"Oh. Except for that one time when you started fighting about wether you should have A negative or B possitive a few days ago." I say putting my finger on my lip and looking at the floor in thought.
"But here I am. Calling a sphycic {Forgive me if I have spelt that wrong...} to see if your still around me. It feels like you are... But I can never be too sure." He says hitting his head against the wall again.
    I shuttered. "A what now!?"
He chuckled. "I swear, everytime the room gets colder after I do something it makes me think your watching me, and the tempreture of the room is actually resembling your reaction to what I've done."
I crossed my arms over my chest. "You idiot... Of course its my reaction to what your doing. Are you just noticing or something?" I hiss.
And why is he having a sphycic come over in the first place!?
"Yeah! Why are you having a sphycic come over anyway!?" I burst.
The sound of a car door closing made Knight jump out of his skin. "She's here already?"
I smiled. "Pfft! Like she'll really be able to see me, or know I'm ever here." I say waving my hand at him in shame. "Are you really going to believe such trash?"
He ran out of the library and headed to the front of his large house.
I followed slowly, walking of course.
I havent gotten used to flying yet... So I just decided to walk instead. Heh heh...
He opened the door and greated someone. "Thank you for coming so late in the night."
I stepped in front of the door next to him, looking at the woman. "Whats going on, Knight?"
She was old and wrinkled, her dark skin sagging near the back of her jaw. Her eyes suddenly met mine and she blinked lazily. "A Fallen Angel?" She asks pointing to me.
I jumped and felt a chill go through me. "What!? You can actually see me!? How can an old hag like you be able to see, let alone see a ghost!?" I panic.
She glared at me. "Who are you calling an old hag you stupid Neko!?" She growled, not raising her voice at all, just letting her aged eyes do all the yelling.
Knight jumped and looked at where I was standing. "Fallen Angel? Neko? Does it have scars on its arms?" He asks stuttering alittle.
I glared at him. "Who are you calling an 'it', you cold hearted son of a-."
She suddenly reached up and grabbed my mouth, shutting me up.
Thats the second time today I was stopped in mid sentence trying to say the world bi-.
"You listen to me, son, and you listen good. I dont mess around. I'm here to tell this man what he wants and you are not going to get in the way of that, got it?" She hisses.
    I swallowed and shrunk back.
She smiled. "Good boy." She said letting my mouth go and slapping me teasinly on the cheek twice.
I winced and rubbed my cheek. "Ow... How did you do that?" I ask.
She looked at Knight. "Now. Back to your question. Yes, he has scars on his arms, many in fact, and a very stunning attitude towards you. Its very unexpected to have a Fallen Angel offending the person he's watching. Since their only here because they have chosen to stay on earth to watch over someone they love. Its why they call them Fallen Angels. Because they have fallen in love, but their dead, and are angels. So you, dear boy, have someone that loves you. And he's still here... Sadly." She says never taking her eyes off Knight.
"And whats that supposed to mean!?" I boom.
Her eye twitched. "Does he ever shut up?" She hisses.
Knight swallowed and his cheeks turned the color of a dull pink. "Love, huh...?" He looked at the floor. "I see..."
The woman put her hand on his cheek. "Dont worry about it, dear. He'll leave this earth just as soon as you do." She says trying to comfort him.
    I shuttered.
Knight's eyes closed tightly against her words and he clentched his fists. "Forgive me, Thomas. I'm a fool."
She smiled. "Did you hear that boy? He has asked for your forgiveness. How do you react?"
I swallowed and put my hand against his hard fist. "I say he should stop looking at the clock so d*** often if I'm going to be around with him that long." I hiss.
She chuckled. "He says to stop looking at the clock so much. It pesters him alittle."
"Alittle!? Try a lot!" I growl.
She smirked. "I'm not going to say that, foolish boy."
    I growled.
She glared at me. "Dont growl at me!"
I shrunk back and hid behind Knight. "Scary lady!"
She sighed. "He's hiding behind you." She said pointing lazily at Knight.
He jumped and spun around. "Where?"
I sighed. "Did you really need to do that? Now he's going to try and see me."
"Of course I needed to do that." She hissed.
I gave up fighting with her and looked up at Knight. My wings parting from my back, in excitement.
"He's right in front of you. He seems rather excited." She says.
"How did you know that!?" I ask.
She laughed. "I know more about this then you do, Neko." She teased.
"Thomas?" Knight asks reaching forward, just brushing against my hair.
I gasped and put my hand against his.
"Can you feel his touch, Knight?" She asks calmly.
Knight's eyes went wide. "How did you know my name?"
"He asked you what was going on when you opened the door to let me in, he said your name." She says smiling.
He nodded and pulled his hand back. "I see... Well... Is there anyway I can hold him and know he's holding me back without you being here?"
    She shrugged. "It depends."
    "On what?"
"Have you felt his touch before?" She asks leaning against the door.
Knight nodded. "Yes. Once or twice."
    "Where?"
"At his grave sight and... usually when I am in bed and trying to sleep." He says looking at the ground.
She smiled. "I see. Well obviously he was, metephoricly speaking, touched by you going to his grave." She took in a deep breath. "So he is trying to thank you by touching and trying to communicate with you."
He nodded. "I see. Well... Thank you, Thomas. For everything."
