• Again, night came. Kuro sat up, and remembered that he had a mission to do. he gripped his stick, and turned into his third form, a winged bird-like creature. His hair grew snow white, and his eyes crimson red. Kuro's skin turned pale, and black wings protruded out of his back. His black outfit became a long, dark robe. Kuro flapped his wings, and rose into the night sky. He flew over many houses and barns. he dodged many trees, more than last time. he was not going to let himself get hit by another branch. As Kuro was soaring over another house, something happened. A tree, as if out of nowhere, hit him, hard. Instead of the usual branch, he got a thicker piece of the limb. Kuro spiraled down to the ground below, the wind knocked out of him. He landed in a garden with many roses, lilacs, and other types of flowers.
    . . .
Adaline slowly sat up in her bed. She rubbed her eyes, and yawned. Adaline looked at her digital clock.
"Wow. Two in the morning, nice." Adaline muttered to herself. "Why did I wake up so early?" Adaline stood up, and stretched her arms. She put on her green slippers, and walked over to the window. Outside, she could see her mother's garden. Out by the old oak tree, she saw something peculiar. A large, black lump was resting under the tree. Adaline shot out of her room, and headed straight for her mother's room, her slippers slapping the hardwood flooring. She reached for the door, but pulled her hand back. She was going to find out what this thing was by herself. Adaline spun herself around, and tip-toed to the back door, that led to the garden. She pushed the door, and walked outside. Adaline stood in awe of what she was seeing. She tip-toed again to the figure, and kneeled down beside it. the human-like creature looked strangely like Kuro. It's hair was in the same style, and it's face was the same shape. Adaline shook the creature, to wkae it up. It did not wake. She didn't know what to do now. Adaline thought to herself for a moment, and decided to carry the poor thing inside. She put her arms under the creature, and hoisted it up. Unlike other girls, Adaline could actually lift things. She paced back to the door, and went into the house. When she finally got back to her living room, she put the creature on the leather sofa. Adaline went back to her room, and brought out with her a thick, blue blanket. Adaline covered the human-like figure with the blanket. After a few moments, it's eyes fluttered open.
