• *Chapter 2*
    A sense of Reality

Her hair was as black as coal, and she was defiantly taller, she knew this because she had to bend over to see herself in the scratched up hospital mirror that reminded her of the ones at her high school because they were made of plastic. Once she remembered to breathe, she smelt things. Things that she wouldn’t normally smell…like the pudding from the dinner hall, the cheap plastic medication bottles, sick people, and something that for some reason smelt newly familiar.

She wasn’t sure what to do because she didn’t even recognize herself in the mirror and thought she should follow it. Maybe who or what it was would have answers Lily thought to herself. She went to the elevator and stopped when the doors finally opened, she didn’t have the patience to wait in an elevator..and she felt the need to stretch her legs. As she started towards the stairs she realized that she didn’t know what floor this who or what thing was on. She would have to try them all.

She suddenly saw the floor she was on. She was the top floor.Fifty-five floors? What kind of hospital has fifty-five floors? Oh well she thought better to run down the steps than to exhaust herself running up the stairs. As she was strolling down the steps, she saw the door for the first floor. Already? She thought but I’ve only been walking down the steps for five minutes… She frowned and noticed another door that had the letter and number X-1. Lily knew she really shouldn’t go into somewhere that had the letter X on it..But the smell of that unrecognizable familiar smell was super strong here. I feel like Alice from Alice in Wonderland…curiouser and curiouser she giggled. She took a deep breath and opened the door.
