    *The next day* Angeline's P.O.V

"Emanuel?! Emanuel? Where are you?" I yelled out.

"Hmm where can he be? He's forty-five minutes late. I didn't see him this morning either now that I think about it. Could...could something have happened to him?!" I ask myself.

"Oh no!" I drop the basket and run over to his family's farm. I burst through the door and I see his parents sitting at the table looking worried.

"Excuse me but where is Emanuel?" I ask breathless.

Jessamyn looks shocked and starts to sob

    .
"You-you mean he is not with you?" James asks horrified.

"N-no I was waiting for him but he didn't show up. You don't know where he is?" I asked almost afraid of my answer.

"No, we haven't seen him since last night." Jessamyn cried out.

'Neither have I" I said to myself and then I ran out the room. I ran as fast as I could to the palace and when I entered, Emanuel wasn't there either.I quickly ran up the stairs and went to his room from last night. When I came in I saw some blood on the floor and a note on the table. I opened it and it was written in blood red letters.

    ' Your highness princess Angeline,

You beloved Emanuel is save with us don't even bother looking for him, don't worry we won't kill him. We'll just make him suffer til he wishes he were dead and treat him as a prisoner. Don't worry he's not alone. We took some of your other friends with us too.Tell your idiotic parents that this is their consequence for banishing the vampires. We might just turn them all into vampires, Emanuel too, and attack you all. And maybe of course have Emanuel deal with you himself. You should thank us, a peasant and a princess should not mix with each other. Ha. Good luck you stupid princess. And don't worry we might get you too and reunite you with your boyfriend.
Sign, the Bloodred rose coven '

I drop the letter and stared at it wide-eyed. I then collapse on the floor.
"No...no..no! Thi-this can't be happening! They took Emanuel away from me!!! NOO!" I sobbed out.

    *Seven months later*

"Father, Mother you can't possibly expect me to attend the ball tonight while my dear friends are still missing do you?" I asked them angrily.

"Ifangeline, I am very sorry for the lost of your friends, but its been over seven months since they disappeared. We keep on sending the search party every night for them but no one has found them." my mother, Queens Victoria said to me with a soft gentle voice.

"Your mother is right, Infangeline. The guards have not found a trace of them. Apparently not even the guards dogs can get a trace of them. Their trail ends by the forest they came back to me and reported that they have not found a trace of them." my father King Gabriel spoke to me irritated.

"But Father there is a possibility that they could come tonight!" I pleaded to him.

"Oh really? then tell me Ifangeline why is tonight, of all nights, any different from all the other nights we went out to look for them?" he asked irritated, again.

"Well...ummm..." I stuttered trying to come up with an answer.

"You see? You can't even give ma an answer!" he yelled out.

"No! Maybe they escaped from their kidnappers and they heard about the ball from a near-by village and come back for help." I explained.

"Enough Ifangeline. I don't want hear it anymore." he scolded.

"Please honey. Enough of this for tonight." my mother spoke for the first during the argument quietly.

"You are going to the ball tonight and you are going to like it! I don't want to hear ne word of this nonsense do yo-"

"Nonsense?"-that really pissed me off- "My friends disappearance is not NONSENSE!!!" I yelled out angrily.

"Enough! Don't you dare talk to me in that tone!" He spat. "No more tak of this discussion tonight! Understood yound lady?!!" he yelled out.

I sighed. "Yes sir." I muttered.

"Good, Alicia."he called out for my maid.

"Yes your highness?" she said as she walked up to him.

"Go help my daughter get ready, and make sure she doesn't go off. Understood?" He said sternly.

"Yes your highness. Do not worry I will make sure she doesn't go off anywhere." she replied. Thank goodness. Alicia is one of best friends here in the palace. She's really nice and friendly and the only person who treats me normal (when its just the two of us of course). She's about five to six years older than me though.

"Ifangeline do not give Alicia any trouble. Do you hear me? I expect to see you at the ball soon. And remember do not talk about your friends disappearance tonight, understand?"

    "Yes sir" I mumbled.
