• The Laughing Matter
    Chapter 1

The machetes whirled in the air a moment before, James, the dashing treasure hunter, swung his blade down. Celina, the sexy assistant treasure hunter, parried with her blade, causing a clanging sound to echo in the halls. James back up as Celina swung her blade down. Unfortunately, she was to fast and Jame's white tank-top was sliced down the middle, "Ack! My favorite tank-top!" he shouted, swinging his blade.

Celina ducked and rolled to the side, but James was to fast, he quickly changed his direction and swung his blade, slicing her arm slightly. She winced but quickly took a stab for James's legs. He jumped and landed on the flat end of the blade, twisting it out of Celina's hand! He spoke, machete at her throat, "Do you give up?"

"Yeah, yeah" Celina replied, rolling her eyes.

The lights flickered back on in the hallway and they exitied through a door into another room. A bunkbed was on the left side of the room, the top bunk covered in papers and blueprints, was James's bunk. The covers were a sickly tan and white, dirted from the dust in the desert that surrounded their headquarters.

Celina had the bottom bunk, it was neat and pink. A few stuffed animals layed there alongside a laptop. The right side of the room had a dresser with a few drawers. Inside, were clothes. The back of the room, though kinda out of place, had a refridgerator and stove. Next to that was a table.

The headquarters for their small treasure hunting agency was not very big, so they had to have function over comfortablity. Fortunately, James and Celina were onto something big.

Celina went over to her bed and sat on it, picking up her laptop, "Alright, so my contacts tell me that you were right. The book should be located in the amazon somewhere. The only unfortunate part is we don't know where. I don't think that it would be-" Started Celina.

"You have contacts? Since when?" Interrupted James.

"Shut up. As I was saying, it isn't likely that it is hidden in a temple. Wouldn't we of already found it?" finished Celina.

"Poor, sad, Celina. You just don't understand! You see," James began, speaking in a sarcastic tone, "the temple I think I think it is in, is hidden. I know where too! But the goverment doesn't! Therefore, it is more money for us!"

"What? How do you know where it is if it's 'hidden'?" questioned Celina

"Don't question me! Have I ever been wrong before? ...Yes, yes I have. Not this time though! I have a feeling! This is the right place!" James said

"I see... Hopefully we don't just waste more money on this." Celina said, climbing under the covers of her bed and hugging one of her stuffed animals. James climed to the top of the bunk and got under his covers.

"You shouldn't sleep with stuffed animals, you know?" He said

"You shouldn't sleep with a rag, you know?" Celina said, falling asleep

James mumbled, as he held onto his baby-blanket, "It's a blankie. Not a rag."
