• Chapter 4: The beginning
Now we have been mainly focusing on our soon to be hero Justin and his sister Robin, but this story is not only about those old chaps. Now remember this is a story of fierce foes and epic battles, and two mere children couldn’t possibly dream of defeating such evils, not even if they do have mystical abilities and magical angels inside of them. Now we shall change our story line to a different approach, and even darker one than before. This part of our story contains murder, betrayal, and, dare I say it, brutal fights to the death!
“Where is the boy?!” the horsed man yelled, having his sword unsheathed and in contact with a villagers chin. The villager turned his vision to the ground. “I….I don’t know” the villager responded after a brief amount of time. The villager was a male Caucasian and had bruises and blood all over himself, obviously from many beatings. The horsed man, on the other hand, looked quite different. He had silver hair with glasses that shone in the moonlight. He was thin, yet muscular in his arms. His blade was long and silver, and very sharp at the end. “I don’t like liars” the horsed man said, with an evil grin stretched amongst his face. Other than the two people that where currently having an ordeal (and the horsed man was entirely winning) there where a largely populated amount of people, some holding their babies and keeping them away from the horsed knight. The knight tilted his blade up, which made the villager’s twin tilt up even more than before. “You will tell me the truth……”the knight said, bringing the point of the blade an inch closer than it was before. Now just in case you don’t understand what’s going on, I will explain the jist of these children’s story and what’s going on right now. Amongst the villagers, there was a family, and in that family, was a child that supposedly was born as an Angel. This child has been protected secretly by the villagers, until word spit out by a greedy villager, who wanted money by showing an outsider a “grand feat for a young child”. As word spread out it then reached a certain group, a group who wanted to take advantage of this child and bear the child the burden of being in the military. Now this certain group has invaded the village in search of the child. “Now listen to me…please….”the villager said, sweating in fear. “I know such thing of such child, whatever you have heard is but a rumor” The villager was sweating so much, that wet sweat dripped off the side of the knight’s blade. The knight looked at the villager sternly. “Now I will see to it that if you do not give me the boy…..”The knight said slowly. He then grinned evilly, teeth pointy as can be. “Then I will kill every last damned villager over here!” the knight screamed, followed by, of course, an accursed evil laugh. Now where was the child you may ask? Well this is something I’m about to tell you right now…..
Erin trudged his feet amongst the ground, trying to keep up with his sister. “Now….why are we giving a note to the pharmacist in the woods again?” Erin asked, holding an envelope while trying not to get his sweat on it. Jenna peered back at Erin and responded with a scowl. “Will you please just stop complaining and move your legs?!” Jenna replied angrily. Jenna had had enough of Erin’s complaints, and the worse thing was that Erin was older than her. It wasn’t as if Jenna was stronger or tougher than Erin, it was just that Jenna actually liked going to the pharmacist in the woods. The pharmacist was like Jenna’s best friend, except, of course, he was way older. Now let me explain the maturity level for these young children. At the time, Erin was Ten, and Robin was Eight, but remember, this was a while ago, and don’t close the book thinking that the two side characters are children, because we will only be talking about Erin and Jenna in there early years for only a brief moment (this chapter). Erin sighed. “Well that’s easy for you to say, you spend half your time with that stupid pharmacist.” Erin said, squinting to the opposite side of Jenna and crossing his arms, with his head tilted up. “Humph, that show’s how much you appreciate people…”Jenna said copying the same motion as Erin. They continued walking down the trail silently, without speaking a word to each other (and lucky for Jenna no complaints from Erin). As they walked, birds twirped their own special rhythms to each other, and moonlight creased through the cracks that where open from the large amount of trees that seemed as if right by the moon. The moon shone on their faces, including on Erin’s blue hair, which made it shine even brighter than it usually shines. Now I might as well explain how the young chaps looked. To tell the truth, if you put the two children together, you wouldn’t have guessed that the two were related. Now there are some similarities between the two. For one, they both where extremely thin, and obviously kept themselves well fit. Second, upon the lower part of their right leg, they both shared the same birthmark. Now there third and final similarity was that they both had beautiful blue eyes, and whenever you stared at them, it felt as if getting lost at sea. Now even though there where similarities, there were of course many differences. For example, Erin had shaggy blue hair, similar to Justin’s hair, and Jenna on the other hand had purple long hair with green highlights. I could name many differences, but it would probably take up the whole book and I would like to get back on with the story, so let me leave you where we left off….. “Hey! I see the pharmacist’s place! We’re almost there!” Jenna screamed, using her prevail vision to look behind her and see if Erin had kept up. Sure enough, Erin had barely kept up with Jenna and she had to squint just to see him in the distance (she could probably easily see Erin if it weren’t for it being so late and barely any light showing at all). Jenna smirked when she saw that he was so far away and giggled as well. Erin obviously heard her giggle because after she did he screamed “Hey! It’s not freaking funny!”
Erin whined. Jenna ignored his comment and kept on giggling as before. Erin sighed lowly. He then muttered under his breath. Now I do not know what he muttered but whatever it was it was obviously inappropriate because Jenna suddenly turned around and searched upon the ground for something to throw at him. Now since it was so dark, Jenna could barely see anything unless it was in the range of the small streaks of light so Erin, luckily, had some time to make a dash so Erin trekked toward the opposite direction of the forest. Jenna then noticed that Erin drifting away from the trail like a stupid idiot. “Ugh, you stupid idiot…..”Jenna whispered to herself, stretching her back and twisting her neck and peering at Erin. Jenna sighed. “You’re going to get lost out there!” Jenna screamed, cupping her hands around her mouth. Erin, unfortunately, didn’t heed to Jenna’s warnings and dashed into the woods with a wide grin covered on his face. Heh this should so my sister that I’m not a little kid anymore! He thought in his head while speeding through the woods while dodging objects which were rooted from the ground up. It’s about time I got away from that annoying snob….. He thought to himself.
The whole Riverthorn family that wasn’t walking aimlessly through the woods where gathered in one circle, lights turned off. The only light that could be seen was lightly dimmed and shone on their faces as if about to tell a horror story. The door banged heavily on the door. They knew what caused the violent bang on the door. Another dead body, toppled high against the blood stained door. Every time there was a crash against the door, it always continued with a fury of screams and cries, and then settled after hearing a revolting blood curdling cry from the misfortunate victim. The Riverthorn family (who was Erin and Jenna’s family) consisted of four family members. First and oldest was the father, Joe Riverthorn. He wore a silver beard amongst his chin and had a habit of him biting his nails. He also had a hunched bent old back. He was also jobless as well, and I only mention this point because the whole story behind him being jobless is quite funny and is well worth explaining. You see, as a child, Joe had always loved to party. Joe could party at night, party in the morning, even have a party in his own Shower (which I have to admit is quite fun) Now as he got older his partiness level started to increase until it went into an all time high. By now he would take every single moment as a party, looking for any excuse to party. He would even go as far as redecorating a funeral in order to make it have a party theme. Now one day, Joe did the stupidest thing ever possible. One day his quite strict and well suited manager came into Joe’s office, looking as ill as can be. His face was dimmed with the shadow of his dark hood he wore that day, and his hands where in his pockets, which surprised most of the staff of workers being that he found putting your hands in your pocket ‘Unsightly and will not be accepted in this fine establishment!’ Now Joe actually looked like he had some sense for once by having a concerned expression on his face. He peered up to his manager and shone a great white grin at him. He then said in complete stupidity (which was quite normal for Joe) “hey you don’t look so good, your wife hating on you again?” Now as the boss turned over to Joe, his fist clenched up as if about to hit Joe in the face and he glared at him with seemingly evil eyes. “My wife…..Is…” he clenched his fist up even tighter, this time digging his nails into his frail white skin. “Dead!” he screamed, lunging a punch over at Joe’s face. Now Joe, with obviously no sense of sensitivity, dodged his punch and quickly yet swiftly kneed him in the gut (Joe had always been a fighter). As his knee slowly collided into his stomach, his boss slowly yet seemingly painfully, drifted down to the ground, with a giant thump as he lost his vision(being he wore glasses and they had fell off as he leaned forward into the knee shot). “Now I don’t know what your problem is, but if you’re going to let it out someone, don’t try it on your workers!” Joe complained, clutching his fist. No response. Joe waited for a response and then after only about twenty seconds (he was obvious impatient) kicked him in his side softly. Still no response. Joe sighed softly and then was about to walk out the room, thinking he needed time to think when his boss suddenly started coughing out a bit of blood. Joe suddenly walked over to him and checked his pulse. He was still alive, luckily. He then had to rush him to the hospital and once he got there, to his surprise, his boss was in a coma. Now Joe, being in the business (which was a hover board making company) for many years, he was, without hesitation, immediately elected as leader of the Durbin HB (Hover board) company. Now he enjoyed his fame for a while, until about three months later the old manager of HB woke up, and came back to get his boss title back. Now you would think Joe would be a little reluctant to letting the old boss have his job as manager back, but he was nothing of the short. He immediately let him have his job back, but not without a party of course. So on that day, as the boss walked in, Joe threw him a welcome back party. Now I know what you’re thinking, you’re probably thinking “did he really get fired from this?” but I am not done yet impatient swine. Now what happened next was quite stupid. Joe sneaked some alcohol into his boss’s punch cup after his doctor said he could not drink any alcohol, and then once he drunk it he barfed everywhere! (I guess you can guess the rest of the story from there) Now that we’re off him we will go to our other family member (and don’t worry this won’t be as long as Joe’s). Second in the family tree was the famously notorious, Jacky Riverthorn. Unlike her counterpart who was a lazy bum that quite frankly had nothing better to do in his spare time since he had no job, she was a more sophisticated and complex women, being that she was a quite famous singer and sung a variety of different music. She sung country, hip hop, and even retro! She was quite the singing fanatic. As a child she absolutely adored singing. In every Trial (which is like our world’s school system’s grades) she auditioned in many different choral programs and was quite popular amongst the school. After having multiple hit albums, she retired early, making a well fortune off the money collected by doing shows and concerts (which were very exclusive and supremely difficult to get in to.) Now that I have explained the parent’s story, you basically know all about the Riverthorn family (Being that you already know about the children Jenna and Erin). Now let us get back to the story before I make another too lengthy chapter. So as the bodies continued to topple over violently with the boor slowly crushing the door and making it crack, Jacky clutched her fist, digging her fingernails into her skin. The father was seen worried as well, being that his face was pure white in fear, and his beard was shaking as well as his body, and he constantly rubbed his beard as everybody collided violently with the door. They were both thinking this, but Joe was the first to say it. “When is all this bloodshed going to stop?!” Joe screamed, tilting his head up making his beard shift. Jacky just merely tilted her head toward the ground and store at the blood that creaked slowly through the door, making the room look even creepier than before. Joe glared at her evilly. “That’s right, that’s the blood of the fools that have been risking there life for some stupid child!” Joe yelled, eyes bulged while pointing to the blood covered ground. Now that was a quite stupid decision because everyone knows that mothers are not quite fond of people talking lowly of their children, even they are their soul mates. Now Joe was not one to think before he speaks, so as he said it he quickly covered his mouth. He then noticed that Jacky had not responded. Thinking that he was in the clear, he cautiously put his hand off his mouth. Bad move. Joe tried to think of an apology in his head. “Jacky I’m….” He started, but then suddenly his wife pulled her hand back and slapped him amongst the face! He then flew back and hit his back hardly against the wall, making some of the oozing blood fall on his head.
“Oh I do really hate doing the organization’s dirty work….” the horsed man said, stabbing a villager in the stomach and twisting his body as if totally flexible, and then toppled it onto the pile of bodies. I really doubt any of them where actually dead, just severely wounded. There fresh blood stains gushed out red liquid and toppled onto the other victim, making a true blood bath. “Now….” the horsed man said slowly, hilting his blade to his side. “Where the heck is the boy? The more you retaliate the more your people die!” he said with an evil grin. Now by now there where a small amount of villagers left, and the ones that did stand where people that hid behind various objects such as haystacks and crates. None of the villagers dared retaliated, yet none of the villagers dared tell where the two children where. The knight was just about to cut up another body when suddenly, the pile of suffering victims toppled over and they slowly crawled away like ants running away from a boy with a magnifying glass. They all moaned as they tilted their bodies on benches and rocking chairs. Now what caused these bodies to move? It was a man, walking out the door. I bet you already know who the b*****d is. It was none other than Joe Riverthorn, holding a blade in his hand. Now you’d think since he held a blade in his hand he planned to be the hero and face the fierce swordsman. Well if that is the thought that is placed in your hand than I you must be sadly mistaken with the wrong Joe, cause he has little amount of heroism in his body. Instead he slowly walked over into the blood drenched field, and shot a small grin at the swordsman. “Most noble knight….” Joe said slowly. The knight grinned. He had used the word noble. He expected no trouble with this peasant. “Yes?” he responded, riding his horse toward the Joe. Joe gulped in worriment, fearing that the villagers may turn on them. “I… I’ll tell you where the children are…” Joe whispered in the knight’s ear. The knight smiled.
