• Trinity Bloodlust was shocked. Everything she knew about life had just turned into a blur and dissappeared. It was unbearable: Her father was screaming in her face, her mother was traumatized, and her sister...her sister was lying on the floor unconcious, the back of her neck charred. And it was all Trinitiy's fault. The stress that had accumulated over the past few weeks had just released itself, but in the wrong way. The memories of it came in flashes, like a slide-show: her getting in trouble, her father hitting her, the anger inside growing, the power inside growing as well, and finally- the mislead blast of energy that came out of her hands and hit her sister.

"Get the hell out of my house! I don't want to see your face anymore! You're a freak!" he screamed, only inches infront of her.

She looked to her mother in search of support. Her mother just looked down at her unconcious sister, "...Listen to your father, Trinity," she sobbed.

Trinity had never felt so abbandoned in all her life. She ran to her room, packed her bags and ran out the front door in tears. She had no intention of ever coming back.

Vroom! The red mustang with black racing stripes pulled into the parking lot of the appartment complex. Three teenagers got out of the car. Doyle, the oldest 16-year-old, got out and stretched, while Yulie and Andy, the two 15-year-old cousins, exited from the back and passenger seats.

"Okay, guys, I really think that this one is the place!" smiled Doyle.

Yulie just rolled his emerald-colored eyes, "That's what you said about the last three places! I'm starting to wonder if you're even seriously moving!" he complained.

Andy looked up at the building with her matching green eyes. Her red hair whipped around her face in the wind. Usually that would have annoyed her but recently she had been so melancholic. Why did Doyle have to move out of Redfern? What about all the things they had been through together? What was the unity going to do without him? Didn't he care at all?! Andy folded her arms and tried to hold back stress-feuled tears.

Doyle came over to her and put an arm around her waist, "You know I've got to do this, right?" he whispered in her ear trying to comfort her. As if he just read her mind. "The unity's been fine without me before, they'll be fine without me now, I promise"

Andy just shrugged off his arm and walked away. She had no idea where she was going but she just needed time to think.

Doyle started to go after her but Yulie put a hand on his shoulder, "Don't. She'll come back... she just needs time."

Trinity sat on the edge of the sidewalk in front of the appartment building in anguish. Just moments ago she was in the land-lord's office begging for a room to just stay the night. Obviously they had refused. She brushed a hand through her sand-colored hair, stopping at the blue bow on the side. She brought her hand down slowly and eyed the birth-marks on her pale wrist. A star with a crescent moon around it. Trinity rested her chin on her hand. Inside her mouth she traced her toung around two teeth. They were very thin and very sharp and had been there since that morning. Fangs. As if life wasn't hard enough now she was some vampire freak! Tears welled up in her eyes for the ump-teenth time that day. She began to dig through the bag of stuff she had taken with her and took out a razor.

Andy walked along the sidewalk. Her head was buzzing with thoughts. Get a grip! she told herself He's not worth all this! He's selfish, rude, inconsiderate ...funny, handsome, swee- her thoughts were interrupted by a strange sound- the sound of someone sobbing. Andy turned the corner and saw a girl sitting there on the sidewalk. Sandy-blond hair, diamond- blue eyes, pale skin, holding a razor up to her wrist...

It was an old, old habbit. Trinity hadn't done it since years ago, before her parents took her into suicide counceling. It was because she was stressed. or thought she was. She hadn't known real stress until today- when she got kicked out of her own home. If there were ever a time to cut it would sure as hell be now. She lowered the razor to her wrist slowly, her hands shaking.

"Stop!" blurted out Andy in terror. Trinity looked up in shock and fear. She immediately dropped the razor onto the pavement. "W-why are you cutting yourself?" stuttered Andy.

Trinity looked down at her sneakers. "I- I-" she began "I can't tell you, it's a-a really big secret."

Andy looked at the wrist she was about to cut and the star birthmark on it. Then she looked down at her own wrist and and the birthmarks she had. Instead of a star and crescent moon it was two stars. Andy smiled, walked up to Trinity and sat down beside her. "Try me," she said. Trinity shook her head. "How 'bout this? You tell me a secret, I tell you a secret. Okay?"

Maybe it was the fact that Andy was extremly sincere, maybe it was the stress that made her think wierd, or maybe it was the birth-mark on Andy's wrist. Either way, Trinity began to slowly open her mouth and reveal her fangs.

Strangely enough, Andy didn't act surprised. She didn't scream, she didn't run, she didn't point. She just sat there and smiled, "Is that all?" Trinity was partialy dumb-struck and partialy relieved. "Ready for my secret?" Trinity noded. And then...Andy opened her mouth and revealed her fangs...
