• It was calm and damp. It just stopped raining a few minutes ago. A small creature poked its head out from the tree and watched the leaves blow. He blinked and scratched his little head. Then he scurried down the tree and ran to another tree nearby. He saw a bushy tail hanging out from the treehole. The chipmunk smiled and climbed up and into the treehole where he stood beside his friend Pokey the Raccoon. He poked Pokey and awoke him. Pokey snored then saw the chipmunk, "Oh hey Faunsy, Just taking my evening nap so what's up?" "Well I was just wondering, Pokey uhm," says Faunsy and shivers, "May I share your food?" he finishes. Pokey turned to notice his food he saved last night. "Oh yes, sure and here's a plastic bag I found on the ground last night. You can use it to take the food to your nest," and he hands Faunsy the plastic bag, some acorns, nuts and berries. Faunsy pats Pokey, "Many thanks sir," Faunsy jumps out the hole and lands on his feet. He drags the bag of food behind him to his nest. Uuuuhhhh, he hears a gasp. Faunsy turns back to see Pokey gone. eek Faunsy's eyes widened with shock. He jumped out of the tree and ran to Pokey's treehole. He found nothing in there but a few accorns and nuts. He went back out and there were some berries scattered around the ground. Faunsy, please save me, Pokeys voice whispers in Faunsy's ear. But Faunsy didn't know where Pokey the raccoon was. "But where are you?" No answer, Faunsy, please save me echoed in his ears again. Faunsy must find Pokey or else.
