• Chapter 1: The Reviving Heart

    Beep

“Is she alive?” a high female voice in a white lab coat whispered.

    Beep

“I don’t know. Let’s take her pulse.” A low calm voice answered.

    B-beep

“W-what are you talking about? She doesn’t even have a pulse!” the female voice typically shouted. “She’s typically d-”

“Hush. I hear something.” The low calm voice pressed his fingers to his lips, walking over to the monitor.

    Nothing.

He frowned, crossing his arms across his chest.

Another failure…He thought, sighing, walking toward a table.

“Gosh. How long are we going to do this?” the female voice asked, sounding frustrated as she scanned through a bunch of paperwork with lots of unknown symbols scribbled on them.

“I don’t know.” The male voice muttered.

The girl gave out a stifled gasp, covering her mouth, speechless.

“W-wow. I know. I can’t believe it either myself. We brought her back to life.” The low voice smiled, pleased that his experiment had succeeded. They made a legend come back to life.

    Beep! Beep! Beee-p. Beeeee-ep.

Just in a few more days, she would be a normal kid. Just like every other kid on Earth. But after a few more years, she would go through a rapid change that’ll change her life.

He walked toward the child who looked like she was just taking a nap. A 149 year nap to be exact.

He smiled gently, his fingers brushing the dark bangs out of the kid’s face.

“Sheesh, it’s time you awaken, Alyza”
