    Preface- The Twist- Jack’s POV
"Love, a dreadful bond. And yet, so easily severed." I watch Davy Jones stand over Will, wondering what he’s thinking. Then, I realize that I have the key, the chest is right near my foot, and that I am one turn of a key away from immortality. I kneel down and open the chest. Ah, beautiful. The heart is thumping away like we aren’t in the possibly biggest war the pirate world has ever seen. I reach down and carefully lift the heart up and out of the chest. "Tell me, William Turner, do you fear death?” I have to think fast, something I don’t do that often. Thinking, I mean.
“Do you?” Jones’s head whips around fast, and his eyes widen at the sight of me holding his heart in my left hand, my broken sword, courtesy of him, poised over the heart in my right. His eyes flicker over to the open empty chest and the key, lying on the deck, exactly how I left it. Elizabeth’s attention is on me for the moment, and she smiles a little. Too bad she’s married. But, that’s never stopped me before. “Heady tonic, holding life and death in the palm of one’s hand.”
“You’re a cruel man, Jack Sparrow.”
“Cruel is a matter of perspective.” Out of the corner of my eye, I see Bootstrap’s eyes widen.
“William… my son… Will! He’s my son!” He charges toward Jones as he makes his way back toward Will. Jones yells in surprise when Bootstrap jumps on his back and throws him against the rail. That should keep him busy.
“You will not forestall my judgment!” I have to think fast, yet again. What is it with this day, for which I’ve been thinking so much? Do I really want immortality? Of course I do. Bound to the sea for 10 years. I love the sea. The only problem is that I don’t really want to do the job. I’m much too lazy. Then I realize that I don’t want immortality. I realize that it doesn’t fit me. I’m supposed to have my heart securely in my body. That’s just how I was made. I see Mullroy and Murtogg climb up the side of the boat. So they did make it, I think. I run over to them.
“Hello.” I say. I turn to Mullroy and hand my sliced sword and the heart to him. “Stab it!” I say.
“Why?” Mullroy questions. Why? Why’d he have to be so damned curious?
    “Because.”
“Well, if you won’t stab it, I will!” Murtogg says. Sweet relief.
    “No, I will!” Mullroy claims.
    “Hand it over!” Murtogg screams.
“Somebody just stab the beating thing!” I shout. Mullroy shoves the abused sword through the heart and Jones stiffens upward, tentacles spasming. He swaggers over to the rail.
“Calypso…” He says before he plunges downward into the current. Will is back on his feet as is Elizabeth. Will walks over to Mullroy and says
    “Please… free my father.”

ok, now I know it sucks, but bear (bare?) with me. It's my 1st fanfic, and I'm overly obsessed with this movie. So, here's the preface and tell me what you think of my choice for the replacement!
