• An End To The Noise

Chapter 1: The Beginning Of The Worst Song Ever

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!" yelled Sentinel as he fell to the ground. Resonance was standing over him laughing maniacally.
"Pitch, would you like to join me?" he cackled.
"I figured you'd want your alone time with him brother," replied Pitch "But if you insist." Then all of a sudden Sentinel's yells of pain tripled. This wasn't how the day had started.

    ...

The day had actually started normally. Harry had started the day off by waking up to his mom's drunken yelling. He responded with yelling of his own. He was tired because he'd been up all night hanging out with his friends at a 21 and older club, even thought he was only 16. To add to that he had school which he detested with all his might. This was pretty much how most if not all days started.

    ...

"You've gotta be frickin kiddin me!" Harry exclaimed as he walked into school with his friends Maria, Rick, Jolene, and Malcom.
"Nope," said Malcom " We've gotta work tonight."
"Dude this is the fifth day in a row. If it's just another frickin escort I'm callin it quits." said Maria.
"Apparently there's been a string of crimes that seem like they could be the work of a crime group headed by two brothers. I've been told that they call themselves 'Noise Pollution.'" When he said this they all started laughing as hard as they possibly could.

The day continued on as usual they all went their separate ways for class, met up for lunch, then went back to class to finish the day. After school was when the fun started.
"Ok guys lets get movin." said Jolene. With that they all hopped in her SUV which she had gotten when she turned 17. They then drove from their school to the White House where they were greeted by the president.
"You know sir it'd be much cooler if you'd just pull us outta school." said Harry.
"Well Sentinel seeing as I do not recall ever being told your real names and I do not recall you ever telling me where you go to school I cannot do that." replied President Richardson

    ...

They got inside to be briefed by the secretary of defense and realized that something was off, and that they weren't just completeing an escort mission for some ambassador.
"OK kids..." said the Secretary Trainor.
"Kids," asked Harry "More like almost adults."
"Ok 'almost adults'... Anyway as Malcom has probably told you we're tracking a rogue group that's calling themselves 'Noise Pollution.'" Once again everyone in the room took a moment to laugh at the name.
"But anyway," he continued " They're causing a lot of mayhem in Europe and we need you to stop them."
"Story of our lives." said Jolene.
"Now here is a map of all the points where they've attacked so far. Now what's the first thing you notice." Although Malcom raised his hand first Rick was the first to blurt out "They're forming a music note."
    "Yes and because of that..."
"We can track where they'll strike next." said Malcom this time not giving the courtesy of putting his hand up.
"Precisely, next time I'd prefer it if you didn't cut me off though."
Malcom rolled his eyes and said "All that matters is that we now know that they'll strike in..." He took a second to put his finger on the map and ran it along the path really quickly. "Their next target will be here." He was pointing at Provence, France.

    ...

"So we're goin to France." said Harry while they all sat on the plane that would take them to a helicopter field, which would take them to the newly evacuated town that they would be fighting in.
"Obviously... I mean I assume that's what Secretary Trainor meant when he said and i quote 'We're flying you out to France to stop them from destroying anything else.'" mocked Jolene.
Harry ignored her comment and kept staring out the window he was sitting next to. Rick and Malcom were playing darts when they noticed Maria was walking over to them. They both immediately walked away and sat down. Maria rolled her eyes and picked up a dart as she walked back to her her seat. As she walked away she threw the dart without looking and hit the bullseye perfectly in the center.
"Malcom shouldn't you be doin your nerd thing and start analyzin every little detail?" asked Maria as she sat down next to Harry.
"Well theres two problems with my doing that. One we're not there yet and two it's not a nerd thing I just check all the variables and stuff like that." he replied.
"Yea that's not a nerd thing." said Harry as he was poking Maria who immediately flinched and pushed Harry of the chair.
Then they just all sat there and relaxed as they flew over the beautiful scenery of France getting mentally prepared for the problems that were bound to begin in about an hour.

    ...

They reached the helicopter field and were preparing to board the helicoper when there was an explosion. They were on a strip of barren land the U.S. army had made this way so that they could use it for launching helicopters without any trees of anything getting in the way. The area was prone to fires on the occasion that the trees or plants started growing back, but there was nothing in the area that should have exploded. Nobody questioned this though everyone was more worried about getting to Provence, so after they made sure everyone was ok that left. In the helicopter which was miraculously undamaged.

    ...

"Ok guys gotta get into gear. Code names only from here on in." said Malcom.
"No duh," replied Jolene " Just give us the info on our surroundings." He told them all the info they needed to know. Then finally they were in in the soon to be battle field. It was calm because there was no one around. There was only the noise that was being made by the helicopter. All the team climbed down the ladder except Maria.
"Longshot," said Harry to Maria over their earpeices " Warn us if you see anyone approaching." With that the stage was set for the battle over Provence to begin.
