• Stranded Part 1
The girl saw a flower in front of her, which was strange. It was the middle of winter, so how could there be a flower there? She reached forward to grasp it, but knew that it would be no use. Much to her surprise, she was able to pick it up. The flower seemed to whisper to the girl. Stay here in the woods. The girl frowned and listened harder. You can live forever in these woods. You are gone from the outside world, but you can survive here. The girl held the flower up to her ear. Learn to survive with nature and you can unravel the mysteries of your disappearance. This wasn't an accident. This was meant to happen. You are the only one who can do this.....

The girl liked how the flower felt, it made her feel safe. She tucked under her brown hair and... Wait a minute... She could feel herself?!?!?! The girl held her hand in front of her face and wiggled her fingers. She could see herself?!?!?! She yelled loudly and heard an echo bouncing off the trees. She could hear herself?!?!?! What was going on?

Suddenly, the forest was a wonderland of life. Raccoons peered at her. Squirrels came out of hiding. Rabbits wiggled their noses and perked up their ears. There were fantasy creatures, too. Pixies flitted around the flowers. Elves hurried to and from their houses in tree stumps. Dire Wolves lead their packs through the forest. But the most amazing creature was the Chinese Fox.

This animal was assumed to have a life span of up to 1000 years. A Chinese Fox is said to be able to ignite fires by striking its tail on the ground, and can also see the future and change its shape. They are usually found near graveyards and are considered bad omens. But this particular Chinese Fox was not evil and seemed to be very honorable. The girl wondered why the Chinese Fox was approaching her. As it came nearer, the rest of the woodland creatures gathered around the girl. The Chinese Fox spoke.

"I am the ruler of this forest. Since this is in a park, it is my duty to protect all these magnificent beings. However, this winter, things have been looking bad for us. Food is scarce and water is contaminated. I fear that all of us may have to turn on each other in order to survive if nothing is done. Yet, miraculously, you have come. Your unique condition has brought you to us, and I will reveal the answer to every question you have if you agree to stay and help us."

The girl was frozen on the spot. Although all the snow had melted away from the forest, the girl felt as if she was ice. The Chinese Fox laughed. Its laughter sounded like bells ringing in the distance. When it finally stopped, it put on another solemn face and continued to speak.

"I know you are confused, and I can understand that. You know that Chinese Foxes are supposed to be evil demons. But I am different. My name is Aurora, and I am offering you shelter and answers. You have no choice but to stay, anyway. You cannot live outside of this place. I promise that good will come from this if you decide to assist us. Please."

The girl glanced at the starved and parched woodland creatures. They need her help badly. But she didn't know what she could possibly do......
