• I wrote this one myself:

    Is Anybody There?

I lay awake; unable to sleep all I could think about was that tomorrow I, Jake Wilson, would be 13, an official teenager. it was at that moment I heard the voices and footsteps, but the voices were to small to be human. I couldn’t help it, I knew I wasn’t going to get to sleep anyway, I get up slipped on my trainers and went down stairs.
The kitchen was dark and cold as though no one had lives there for years and the living room was dank and smelt of sweat. i made my way to the back door as though I was being pulled by an invisible force, the door clicked open and I slipped outside.
The only light came from the shed, through a crack in the door. I creeped over to it as quietly as I could. I was within touching distance from the shed door when I accidently trod on a twig, I froze but the things in the shed had heard it and they were frantically running around. I lunged for the door and swung it open as the last of the creatures dived into a great gaping black hole in the middle of the shed I looked around frantically and saw that all the pots were smashed and the shed was an absolute mess!
I knelt down to listen the voices I had just heard coming from the hole.
    "Let’s go now!"
"NO, we need Jake we need him or we will all die!"
I was too shocked too say anything I just turned and fled, I ran faster than I thought possible, I opened the back door raced upstairs and dived into my bed, the voices haunting me
'NO, We need Jake we need him or we will all die!'

It was Sunday, two days since the meeting it had all gone in a blur even my party was forgotten!
I had seen creatures never seen by man before and they needed me how could I abandon them!
In the two days since the meeting I had never not been thinking about it.
'NO, we need Jake we need him or we will all die!'
Those words haunted me day and night.
It grew on me I had to find out but i was scared, so scared, far too scared of leaving normality and entering a whole new world. I was scared of having to fight terrible monsters or whatever might be down there in the big black hole which still nearly consumed the whole shed. I just couldn’t face it, but i had to find out and that ruled over all my fears!
It was midnight when I decided that I was going to go. I quietly got out of bed and got changed. I then grabbed my old rucksack and put my torch and penknife in the side pockets followed by some food in the main.
I reached the back door and quickly unlocked it. I was the most scared I had ever been in my life and the most excited as well. It was a very strange feeling thinking you may die but I didn’t stop me I was determined.
When I got to the shed door I saw it was still slightly ajar just the way it had been 2 nights ago, a sudden thought crossed my mind, what if it had all been a dream and hadn’t really happened! Only one way to find out. I pushed open the shed door to find all the pots lying on the floor, smashed. The only difference was that the hole in the middle of the floor was smaller than and not as dazzling as before, it looked like it was going to disappear all together. I looked around and saw some rope on the floor I then attached it to the door and around my waist, I was going to try to abseil down the hole
I walked forwards my hands violently trembling and looked down into the dark, ominous hole, it looked like it went to the center of the earth and beyond. I threw my rope down the hole, took a deep breath.
    And Jumped...

I was falling I knew I was but I couldn’t tell, there was no light, no objects and I couldn’t move an inch, I was just falling. It felt like years but could have been just 30 seconds. I was wondering about how I was going to get home when I felt my tummy lurch and I screamed as the rope tightened around my waist, suffocating me, but I managed to loosen it and I breathed a heavy sigh. At that moment I heard a distant moan it was a few minutes till I realized the shed door was about to give way, and I was about to fall. I wiggled around and grabbed my backpack opening the left pocket where my penknife was kept, I was going to have to cut the rope or fall anyway but with the door rushing at me at a hundred miles an hour! I had no choice but to cut the rope, so I twisted around, got out the blade putting it against the rope, shaking with the thought of dropping down and down and down I pressed the knife against the rope and fell...

I am going to leave the rest to your own amagination, thank you very much.
