• 'What did I think would happen? ******** fairy tale bullshit..', Sun thought as she wept into her blanket. She'd finally told him and all he could do is laugh. He laughed softly, then laughed harder. Tears dotted the corners of his eyes as he lost control and laughed himself silly.

    All Sun could do was smile awkwardly and say, "Oh, yeah. Haha.."
    "Oh god, Sunny, you always know how to make me laaughaha!" Moon stopped to say.
    Sun sobbed harder just thinking of his remark. How was he supposed to react? Why did she put her hopes so high? All Sun wanted to do was crawl into a box and die a thousand deaths. Too bad the trashman already picked up bulk items, Sun thought as she pressed her face between two pillows.
    Suddenly, the doorbell rung. Sun slowly pulled herself up, blanket enveloping her shoulders.
    She opened the door and jumped at the visitor before her. Moon hunched over, breathing heavily, as if he had ran from his house to hers.
    "Were you serious?" Moon asked with a hint of desperation in his voice. Sun pondered his question for a moment. She already saw his reaction the first time around, and she had to wonder if she'd be prepared for his reaction again. Yet, she could just as easily blow it off as a joke and everything would stay the same.
    What to do... What to do...
    Sun looked down fearfully when Moon pressed, "Is that how you really feel?"
    She looked up at his face into his eyes. Their softness smoldered and she couldn't help but look away again.
    Finally, Sun looked at Moon and whispered, "It was the-"
    Beeeeeeeep Beeeeeeeeeep Beeeeeeeeep.
    Saturday.
    Six in the morning.
    Sun rolled over from underneath the covers. She sat up, rubbing her sleep crusted eyes, and angrily threw her pillow to the ground. She stood, smacked the alarm clock, and shuffled back to bed.
    Another ruined dream.
