• Beneath The Silver Moon

The boy was speechless. How could she of rejected him? She had led him on, flirting and taunting, just to break his heart. A part of him raged, screamed, and wanted to tear her apart for causing him so much pain. The girl laughed coldly. "Really Maliki did you seriously think YOU had a chance with me?"she said with a grin flouncing off to join her little posse.

Maliki stood on a hill the next day gazing at the sky. He turned his eyes to the valley below him. This was his home, his land. He ran a hand through his ebony hair, his dark green eyes following the movement of a group of people heading his way. "What are you up to Maliki?"the leader of the group, a boy around the same age as Maliki, asked. "I should ask you the same."Maliki replied arching an eyebrow. "We are heading to the Sacred Rock for the Hunt. Are you coming?"the boy asked. "Of course, Azreal, I am required to, am I not?"he replied.

    ~Later on at the Hunt~

Maliki ran amongst the others of his age, his legs pumping. He ran up on a large rock and jumped from the top. He landed in the form of a wolf racing ahead of the others. You see Maliki and his friends were no regular human teenagers. They were Loup-Garou, werewolves. They were a small clan, all family. Maliki's father was the leader of them all, the alpha. Maliki was to take over when he turned 21, in two years.

He ran alongside his father. Suddenly out of the bushes came many men with guns. All Maliki heard was gunfire. He found shelter as others did the same. He blacked out and when he came to all was silent. He crawled out of his hiding spot and gazed at the destruction around him. All around were the bodies of Loup-Garou and mankind alike. He wept as he walked through his beloved forest.

A beam of light from the moon shined down in front of him taking the shape of a young fae, her fur as silver as the moonlight. "Come my Maliki come with me."she said in a musical voice. Light engulfed him and when it disappeared he was in a beautiful forest. The fae was beside him she trotted a few steps and gestured for him to follow. The ran through the forest of the Loup-Garou, far from mankind. Many years later Maliki sat on a hill gazing up at the moon, thinking of the human girl who had rejected him.

"As I sit here gazing up at the moon strangely all I can think about is you. You rejected me, but at least the moon accepts me. I am Loup-Garou, child of the forest and the night. There are few of us left now, but we stick together. We are one as a pack. WE may be outnumbered, but we will never be out hunted.

The silver moon fae, now his mate, trotted up beside him. They sung together beneath the silver moon.
