• Long ago this world was created by those that are unknown and unfathomable. Even if they were to tell us what and who they were we would not be able to fathom the entirety of it all. In this world created by the Erus, that is what they are called by the ones they created called them, they creators ruled over those creatures they had created and were loved by them. But the Erus grew tired of mindless beast and decided to create another intelligent being , they named this creature ‘human’. The human was to be the companion of the Erus and to live under the Erus, but humans were greedy creatures and coveted the power that the Erus had. They also feared the creators had another secret, a darker one that chilled man kind, though it was hypocritical for many can to fear this secret. In time humans began to hate the Erus and began to rebel. Humans had now grown much in number, which pleased the Erus, until the humans began a war. There were but five Erus: Erus of death, Erus of life, Erus of the moon, Erus of the sun, and Altus Erus. Humans were numerous to many to put into record. It hurt the Erus when the humans who were created to be loved and to love the Erus rebelled, it hurt so much that the Erus disappeared without a trace to be found and have been left out of history and the humans minds form that time until now.

Now is the year 900 A.A. This world has faced its slow decay, after a great war between humans, a war including the most dangerous substance known to man, nuclear power. The human race face near extinction nine-hundred years ago, but managed to survive its self inflicted apocalypse. Back in 3990 A.D. war struck out between all countries and powers on this planet. It was a fight for land, a fight for power, and a fight for money. The war grew nuclear and the bombs set out in various parts of the world. Countries that had no nuclear power soon fell in submission to those that had that power. It wasn’t until ten years after the war started that it finally came to an end, but by then it was much, much to late. The world had been divested and millions of humans had lost their lives. They were now and endangered species. The world was a toxic waste dump filled with toxic gasses and spoiled food. The only way for humans to survive was to create domes, and that is how life has been for the last eight-hundred years. Living in a dome is dull and unexciting, life goes on in the same manor as it did the day before. Well that is how it seems within the dome, but outside the domes that have been created to float just above the earths surface, the world is changing and constantly fixing itself, though this fact is not known to those who live within domes. Besides the changes in the outer world inside the dome, deep under ground in a research lab, there stirs a many working bodies of both androids and human men.

‘Inside a room separate from the scientist lies what looks like a man with long black hair. This ‘man’ is sleeping and shackled with solid iron chains. Above his sleeping body are guns, tranquilizers, and electric poles. Also inside the room androids are busy taking samples of the creatures cells and analyzing his vital signs. Scientist watch from behind bullet proof glass for their protection. Protection from what? The awakening of the man that lays there unconscious. Why do they need to be protected? Why do we need to be protected from such a beautiful man, or so we believe it is male, and why is he shackled and treated like this? I ask myself these questions every time I come down here. When I enter this room it feels like a different world, so very much different than the one I left in the hallway. That ‘man’ is said to have been found sleeping deep within a cave that was being mined for further development of the city. Hmph… The city, such a boring place… And yet when I come to this room my pulse quickens and my mind races. I don’t know why, but that thing… that creature sleeping right in front of me fills me with these strange sensations… I wonder if anyone else feels this way. Well, if they do they are good at hiding it or maybe they’re just used to this sensation. As I stare at that creature laying there motionless I wonder if that thing really does have immortal cells. How can something that fragile have something like that? But science does not lie. We have tried everything to destroy these cells that we have collected but nothing ever happens. This creature holds the key to immortality.. If…If only we could grasp this! We could live forever! Break the bonds that eventual death has over us! We could be gods!’ these are the thoughts of a young, pale, blonde, blue eyed man as he enters into the research lab for the specimen known only as REN. He is entering as an intern to the renown scientist Dr. Charles Render. This is only the third time this twenty-one year old man has entered this room. He is doing much better than his first few times of being here.

The first time he lashed out worrying about this man that was being treated like a research project. He had quickly been told everything that was going on, then he settled down. The second time he entered he was much to eager and way over excited about the findings, and when he heard that there was no development besides the fact that the cells were immortal he seemed a bit down. This time he was very level headed still hiding that eagerness inside of him. The blonde stared at the creature in wonder before his blank mind was brought back to earth with the sound of Dr. Charles’ voice. Charles was a forty something year old man with short curly hair and hazel eyes. Yes his age was beginning to show below his eyes, but it didn’t seem the scientist really cared about things like that, and that was for the best.

“Ah! Mr. Adler!” The doctor called out waving for Vincent to come over to him. Vincent complied and greeted his superior with a bow of the head before the scientist continued. “We have had a break through. It seems REN responds to human cells. We put a vial in front of its nose and its pulse quickened. So after witnessing that we decided to put human cells with the cells that we had collected from this creature… What do you think we saw?” Dr. Render asked his intern. He liked this intern very much, he had the same drive and passion he himself possessed. Vincent Adler, a half German, half Italian man that lived in the dome over London, or what’s left of it, a very good young man. The blonde looked around for a moment musing over the subject, and by his facial expression it was obvious he was stumped. Charles laughed lightly at the young man patting him on his back then in answering his own question he stated, “They were destroyed. That’s right those cells we collected from REN demolished the human cells. It’s very frightening. As you know at first we had thought that he had been a development in human evolution, but it seems REN does not belong to the human line. I wonder… Could he be something of a god?”

Vincent just stared in awe at the sleeping creature that lay before his very eyes. ‘How? How could something exist like that? Its very cells destroyed our own? A god? That’s not possible…No more like improbable… We are the most intelligent and sophisticated being on this Earth. If there was something else, why did it take so long for us to find it?’ The thoughts surged through the young scientist brain. Too many questions were unanswered and to many unasked. He wanted to know everything. He wanted answers to what he wanted to know and also to what he didn’t wish to know.

As he was thinking a gasp came from Charles followed by, “Its moving! Quickly! Get the tranquilizers ready!” Just as the doctor finished forming the words in his mouth REN broke one arm lose from its bounds. The pale arm now lay across its pale stomach, just before it reached and grabbed the other shackle and ripped it apart it was hit by several tranquilizers, they had no effect seeing as he set his other arm free. With ease REN broke his legs free and stood up on the metal table that had been holding him, his long hair flowing down like a river of black silk hanging over his face but still managing to show where his eyes are.

‘His eye browns are furrowed he seems to be very angry. Can you blame him? His legs are straight but his back is bent to where his head is lowered, but his neck lift his head so we can see the crooked smile planted on his face. His lips are a soft pink color very gentle, but moved in such a manner that strikes fear in all those watching. Quickly! His eyes burst open. Such beautiful glowing green eyes! Full of hate, malice, free, sadness, and loneliness. What makes REN feel this way? Does he really have feelings? A burst of energy flows from his body even though he did not move. It breaks the glass of the holding chamber. We are ordered to evacuate by an automated voice. As I leave I look back into the green eyes of REN… So very beautiful.’ That is what the scene looked like in the eyes of Vincent Alder, but it would seem Vincent would see no more of that endearing creature for it escaped shortly after the researchers evacuated.
