Description:
It had been years since Adella had heard from him, and though her hair may have paled, her resolve had not. The last letter he'd sent was distressing, speaking of open war and danger, but in his letter he'd left her with the promise of a marriage proposal.
He had pledged his life to her, if the war did not take it first. So she waits patiently by the sea, looking to the horizon every dawn and sunset for signs of his return.
