- Description: Overwhelmed by her overbearing and critical father (the king of the fairies - Oberon), Veleda seeks comfort in solitude. Her strange prophetic visions overtake her often, resulting in frightening trances. Using an object (a small perfectly round bubble is her favorite) as a focus allows herself to remain calm. Unfortunately, no one believes her claims, and she is often thought to be simply a vacant, dreamy girl, rather than the bold, intelligent and witty woman her father wants.
