I drew this up last night while watching the olimpics opening. I had been watching final fantasy: Advent Children earlier, so this guy is very much inspired from Vincent Valentine, it probably shows. Usually I outline and color instead of shade so my shading job is probably off, but its only a rough design.

Hmm... It's not a bad design really, and the cape shows off some of the Valentine characteristics, for sure... From the way they look now, his shins seem elongated, and his thighs and groin a little squashed. Maybe puff his pants around the knee to make them seem more baggy. Make the sash curve downward to make his torso more proportionate, since it looks a little pinched between two different points of view. Good all in all, I'd love to talk more on dA, if you'd like.

- The proportion is fine for an anime character! People that don't know what they are talking about throw that word around WAY to much, but the cape DOES look like a shower curtain. The swords should probably be sticking out a bit more, assuming the blade is supposed to be longer than the hilt. Hands aren't your strong point, are they? Over all, I like it. 4/5
